What @pluralistic has identified in Musk and Broccoli Boys -- among whom I'm counting all of Musk's fans -- is tenets of a religion, and not a particularly convincing or convicting one.
This is the religion of "just pray, and ask Jesus into your heart." It's the religion of "you can't convince me -- I feel in my heart that I'm doing God's will." This form of religion needs no reasonable markers pointing to its so-called truth: if you feel it, it's true --

Notably, I believe, Nietzsche himself would rail at them for their complete, pathetic subservience to this new religion.
