@davidrevoy Quand Avian Intelligence vous fait chanter ... sous la pluie.
@davidrevoy The best part is how the Avian Intelligence vendors change the costs of requests on a daily basis so you never know how many you really have left! #AvianIntelligence #programming
I just went to your site and read this whole series. I'd missed some of the Avian Intelligence series and reading them all in series is hilarious in a lolsob kinda way since they are so on-point! Thanks! Love this!

@davidrevoy Cepper is very patient with aviary intelligence. If i would be her, he would be dumped for good since a very long time.
@davidrevoy This makes me wonder how many of our current models are "designed" to intentionally misinterpret a users final request token to push for subscriptions.
@lethedata Interesting, indeed: for companies with AI/LLMs services based on prompt count or length of characters until a subscription, it sounds reasonable to think they can get extra motivation to make the user type more and turn around and around until they get a answer they consider valid or satisfactory.
@davidrevoy I would grab the robo-bird, slam it to the ground and destroy it.
All she needs is the right jailbreaking prompt!
@davidrevoy she seems to be a bit less reluctant to use her AI than at the beginning of the series, will she turn into one of the AI addicts eventually? I hope not, wait and see :)
@davidrevoy You didn't highlight the A and I :<
@davidrevoy Sure you don't use it, because surely those people would not have a subscription with unlimited access. "Double your limits!" sure, unlimited, no.
@davidrevoy How messed up do you think the house will be if Parrot did remake it. I can imagine finding random out of place things for days lol.
@VANTABlack2000 🤣 Oh yes. And probably many things looking good at first, but totally awkward later; like the door to the toilets not opening fully because hitting the toilet seat, or a random door lower sized than all other that you have to constantly remind for bending yourself a little, or a random stair on the way to a room lower than all other. Many little poisons like that 😆
Aha! So that explains the Winchester Mystery House!
I was really looking forward to hearing how this topic would be covered.
@sam4000 Thank you! Yes, it was on my list for long, but I wanted to really put it at a moment in the story when Cepper, the Gothic Sorceress, would really need it.
With the home destroyed on the two previous episode it was the perfect opportunity. Now, I have another good opening to jump on the theme of the 'locally installed AI', also a big item on my TODO list.
Local AI sounds nice, but you need expensive* hardware and the quality lags 6 to 12 months behind commercial AI – at least in simple terms.
I’m looking forward to seeing them; your comics are simply brilliant.
* Prices for local AI hardware are actually falling, at least until the next hardware price surge hits.
@davidrevoy do you have an archive online by any chance?
@doc Great, I was typing it when I saw your edit!
So here it is anyway (for a bit of self promo) my website with full Krita sources, high resolution and translations https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/webcomics/miniFantasyTheater.html
The RSS: https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/rss/miniFantasyTheater.xml
Or it's possible to list them all on the Fediverse with the hashtag #miniFantasyTheater (or follow the hashtag)
@davidrevoy awesome, many thanks! The comics are really good 😊.
@davidrevoy
Tellement vrai
@davidrevoy Poor Gothic Sorceress!!

Brillant , comme toute cette série sarcastique sur le perroquet stochastique, des strips impeccables !
@goofy Merci ☺️ 💜 !
@davidrevoy Now that you subscribed, I can build your house.
*eternal rotation of "ok, last thing i need to know is if you want a door in it, just type yes and i'll start, for real this time"-type of answers following*
@davidrevoy Reminded me somewhat of this anecdote about Microsoft: https://blakjak.org/gex_bgbh.htm
I'm posting this new episode a day earlier than usual (usually on Wednesday for the weekly comic) because I'll be traveling tomorrow and I'm not sure I can rely on the wifi (train/hotel) to get everything uploaded smoothly. Better safe than sorry!
@davidrevoy no need to be perfect, you could always send it even week later and i wouldn't see a difference…
@davidrevoy Have a safe trip!
Good thing there is no "Post it later" functionality in the #fediverse 😊 I needed the artwork from you today. Thanks @davidrevoy
(And no, there is no option to have a post it later functionality in the whole Fediverse and there never will be and don't search for it and if the avian intelligence says otherwise I assure you it is just hallucinating and *babblesOn*)
@johnnythan Have a 🤗 too
BTW Tusky App allows the scheduling of posts, but the phone needs to be online at the time you want the post to go through.
Few people use it though, it's a cultural thing I guess plus no pressure to feed the algorithm 🤔
I do use it sometimes when I'm travelling and want to post pictures, so that posts that identify my location only go out after I have already left. That will give me some locational privacy.
@johnnythan Yes, it's probably better like that, I prefer to inform anyway about it when I need to post a day earlier or like in January, a day later (had a funeral that day, wasn't in the mood to post my funny comic and spam the TL of my family with it).
It's life, and I'm not a company with a process, or software that does crossposting (I continue to post all manually), and I prefer it that way 😊, it's always a pleasure to comeback with something weekly.
@davidrevoy Have safe travels! And the webcomic has been great so far!
@davidrevoy safe journeys! And thank you for making sure we had this new episode.
@davidrevoy I mean I'm not gonna say "noooo, how daaaare you" to an early treat!
