@ploum Ho wow, we share the same problems, but I went in a completely different direction for the solutions.
First of all, for the bad email problem, I stopped using the global git configuration so that git asks me every first commit. Then I made scripts to clone and configure because I like to sign my commits (with ssh keys).
@manland : the no global git config is a very good idea, indeed!
